Dr. Perez Moreno
provides statistical support to cardiovascular researchers at Aurora Health
Care. As a research biostatistician she is involved in every aspect of a
research project, from design to publication.
Dr. Perez Moreno’s experience in medicine and research is extensive and diverse. She earned a medical degree from the University of Monterrey and completed a specialty in internal medicine at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education in Mexico. She completed a doctor in philosophy degree in biostatistics and medical cardiology from the University of Glasgow in Scotland.
More recently, before joining Aurora Health Care, Dr. Perez Moreno researched the role of perivascular adipose tissue in the development of atherosclerosis as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Michigan.
Her experience includes teaching statistics and developing curricula for distance learning at both the University of Glasgow and the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.
Her main interests are biostatistics, evidence-based medicine, research design, and medical and statistical education.
