Dr. DeCarlo earned his medical degree at Loyola Medical School in Chicago. He then received his training in ophthalmology at the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit. This was followed by a one year fellowship in corneal surgery and a one year research fellowship in corneal diseases at the Eye Institute in Milwaukee.
Board certified in ophthalmology, his special areas of expertise include corneal diseases, corneal surgery, corneal transplants and refractive eye surgery. He has been performing refractive surgery for myopia since 1980 and currently performs LASIK corrective surgery for myopia and astigmatism.
Dr. DeCarlo practices eye care with a personal touch. He strives to combine accessibility with the latest in innovative eye care. He makes himself available to answer all questions and relieve any concerns.
He is currently the president and continued education director of the Milwaukee Ophthalmologic Society. A native New Yorker, Dr. DeCarlo now lives in Elm Grove and maintains offices at Mayfair and in Kenosha.
