Dr. Hirsch earned his medical degree from Chicago Medical School. He completed his residency at the Harkness Eye Institute/Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. Following residency, he completed a fellowship specializing in corneal and refractive surgery at Tuft's University in Boston.
A board certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Hirsch performs medical and surgical treatment of the eye. His surgical expertise focuses upon cataract surgery, laser eye surgery and corneal transplantation.
A particular area of interest for Dr. Hirsch is refractive surgery, more commonly known as LASIK. He is involved in all of the preoperative evaluation and post-operative care of his LASIK patients. Dr. Hirsch is certified in the most advanced areas of modern laser vision correction; Intralase and CustomVue.
Dr. Hirsch is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Milwaukee Ophthalmology Society and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
He strives to provide the highest level of care and empathy to his patients. As a physician at Eye Physician Associates, he has access to advanced diagnostic equipment to aid in the evaluation and treatment of his patients.
Originally from Los Angeles, Dr. Hirsch now resides in Mequon with his wife and two children.
