I strive to empower my patients with education to promote health and improve quality of life. Within the scope of general surgery, I specialize in bariatric surgery, working closely with Dr. Mark Splittgerber through the Aurora Sinai Bariatric Program.
I love being part of my patients' transformation though surgery and lifestyle changes. Weight loss surgery is only one aspect of the extensive process and by no means an easy way out. My passion is to provide education, one on one counseling and continued support throughout the weight loss journey.
I provide Lap Band adjustment - a minor in-office procedure, accessing the port to add or remove fluid from the Lap Band to increase or decrease restriction. I am First Assist on the Aurora Sinai Bariatric Surgery Program Team and a moderator at the Aurora Sinai Bariatric monthly support groups.
I earned my Bachelor's in Biological Sciences at North Carolina State University in Raleigh and her Masters in Medical Education, Physician Assistant Studies at Wake Forest School of Medicine in North Carolina. I am board certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
During my free time, I enjoy running, reading, travel and spending time with my husband and two boys.
