(Recipe) Grilled Fruit Skewers — Video Demo

When many of us think of grilling, we think of summer. And this recipe for grilled fruit skewers with nectarines, plums and peaches is ideal for a warm day — or any day you want to fire up the grill and keep your dining light!

Recipe: Grilled Fruit Skewers

Servings: 6 skewers (each is one serving)


3 nectarines, halved pitted
3 plums, red halved pitted
3 peaches, halved pitted
Sugar substitute such as Splenda
Nonstick spray
6 wooden skewers


  1. Soak skewers in water for 30 minutes.
  2. Turn on grill to medium-high heat.
  3. Assemble skewers with one half of each fruit.
  4. Sprinkle with sugar substitute.
  5. Place on grill, cut side of fruit down. Grill for 6-10 minutes or until fruit is caramelized.
  6. Remove from grill and serve immediately!

Try Some Variations to This Recipe!

Other fruit can be substituted, such as pineapple or mango.

Sugar can be used in place of the artificial sweetener, but it will increase the overall calories listed.
