(Recipe) Holiday Eggnog

It’s the holiday season, which means it’s time to bring on the eggnog! To help you enjoy this old-school favorite guilt-free, try this slimmed down version that has a lot less fat, sugar, and only 90 calories.

So breakout your blender, whip up this delicious nog, and raise a toast to a healthy and happy holiday season.

Recipe: Holiday Eggnog
Yield: Ten ½ cup servings

Ingredients
2 1/3 cups 2% milk*
1 (8 ounce) carton frozen egg substitute, partially thawed
¼ cup instant nonfat dry milk powder
¼ cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon rum flavoring
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
6 ice cubes
Ground nutmeg

Directions
Combine first 8 ingredients in container of an electric blender, cover and process until smooth. Pour into small glasses, and sprinkle with nutmeg. Serve immediately.

Variations
*Substitute almond milk for 2% milk if you prefer.
