(Recipe) Purple Passion Smoothie

If you’re someone who drinks smoothies regularly, it’s nice to have a variety of recipes on hand. That way, you don’t get bored of drinking the same old thing.

Depending on your routine, smoothies are a great option for breakfast, especially if you’re someone who eats on the go. They also make for a satisfying snack in between main meals and after workouts.

This recipe features a delightful mixture of fruit: bananas, blueberries, and oranges. Thanks to the blueberries, your smoothie will not only turn a fun, purple color, but it’ll also deliver your body an array of health benefits. Depending on what you have available, fresh or frozen fruit will work just fine.

Recipe: Purple Passion Smoothie

Yield: One 12 ounce serving

½ fresh banana
2 tablespoons frozen blueberries
½ cup orange juice
4 ice cubes
½ teaspoon honey
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

Place all of the ingredients in the blender. Blend them for 30 seconds or until smooth.
