Infusion Therapy

Overview

During Infusion Therapy, medication is delivered directly into your veins using a needle or catheter. Home-based Infusion Therapy allows you to remain more independent by receiving the medication you need in the comfort of home, delivered by a highly trained Aurora at Home health care practitioner.

Infusion Therapy can be used to treat a variety of conditions including cancer, infections, Crohn’s disease, hemophilia, immunodeficiency and more.

If you have a chronic illness or are recovering from surgery, this type of therapy allows you to maintain your regular lifestyle without having to travel to a hospital or clinic for treatment. You don’t need to be homebound to benefit from Infusion Therapy. And for many patients, this type of therapy may result in lower health care costs, fewer complications and better outcomes.
