pulmonary hypertensionclinic

overview

Pulmonary hypertension is high blood pressure in the arteries in your lungs. If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension, coming to Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center is a smart decision. We’ve been successfully treating pulmonary hypertension for more than 25 years, and we’re a Pulmonary Hypertension Center of Excellence.

services & treatment

We’ll help you understand what your diagnosis means, explain your options and recommend lifestyle changes. We also offer comfort and assurance through the Aurora pulmonary hypertension support group, which is available for you and your family.

At the Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic, a physician who specializes in pulmonary hypertension will evaluate you. You may also be seen by other specialists, depending on your condition. A specially trained nurse coordinator will guide you through the process of evaluation and treatment. The physician, nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team will work with you toward the best possible outcome. The symptoms of pulmonary hypertension can also mean you have a wide range of other disorders, so a diagnosis, while complex, is important. Our team works together with your regular doctor and other consultants to reach an accurate diagnosis.
