Dr. Abhay Jella is an oncologist who has received medical training abroad and in the United States. He is interested in clinical research on topics ranging from pancreatic cancer to anemia.
Dr. Jella received his medical education at Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India, and completed a clinical research fellowship in the division of hematology/oncology at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. After serving as a research fellow, Dr. Jella also completed a residency in internal medicine at Michael Reese Hospital and continued his training with a fellowship in hematology/oncology at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.
A member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology, Dr. Jella is widely published in his field, with an emphasis on Sickle Cell Anemia research. He also holds a Fellowship in the American College of Physicians (FACP).
