"I am passionate about providing valuable care to the people, athletes, and family members I meet in clinic, on the sideline and in the community. I practice a variety of methods to treat musculoskeletal injuries and diseases to help people return to the activities that they love to do. Essential to each person's recovery is education regarding strength training and prevention of injuries tailored to their specific needs."
I earned my medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Madison. I completed my residency in family medicine, along with a fellowship in sports medicine, at John Peter Smith Hospital, Fort Worth, Texas. Board certified in family medicine, I received additional training in concussion management, ultrasound diagnostics and therapeutics, and fluoroscopic joint and lumbar spine injections.
I provide treatment for pediatric and adult musculoskeletal injuries, concussions, sports related issues and non-operative fracture management. My interests include running and distance related athletic injuries, concussion management and wilderness medicine. I spend time in local athletic training rooms and sidelines; investing in the athletes of our community.
I have a beautiful wife who keeps me on my toes, and together we have two children. We love group activities including hiking, gardening, camping, and eating. Food is very important in our family, especially as I am from New Mexico where spice is added to nearly every meal. I enjoy sports that allow me to move my body: basketball, ultimate Frisbee, cross country skiing, and most recently triathlon training. I also enjoy singing and relaxing with my guitar.
