A fellowship trained general and vascular surgeon, Peter J. Bartzen, Jr., MD has practiced in Racine since 1985 and in Kenosha since 1998. He believes it is important to treat every patient with respect.
Dr. Bartzen obtained his medical degree from the University of Minnesota and received his surgical training at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his residency at St. Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee and completed a fellowship in vascular surgery at St. Vincent's Hospital in Toledo, Ohio.
Within his general surgery/vascular practice, Dr. Bartzen also specializes in a non-surgical laser procedure for varicose veins that produces excellent results without the pain and lengthy recovery of traditional surgery.
Aside from his work, Dr. Bartzen enjoys golf, spending time skiing with his family and attending his children's sports events. He and his wife have four children and reside in Racine.
