Sajidkhan Pathan, MD, MPH, is available to provide the full line of occupational health services, including physical exams, such as Department of Transportation physicals, respiratory exams, hazardous material and return to duty, medical surveillance, injury treatment and management, acute injury care, medical directorship and consultation. Dr. Pathan is familiar with providing trigger-point and joint injections.
Dr. Pathan's special interests include clinical occupational medicine and work-related musculoskeletal injuries. He believes in a sport-medicine approach to managing work-related musculoskeletal injuries with emphasis on physical therapy and rehabilitation, allowing patients to return to duty more quickly.
While completing his occupational medicine residency training, Dr. Pathan received on-site training at the Occupational Health and Safety Administration in Washington, D.C. He served as a chief resident in occupational medicine and, in 2012, earned the "Excellence in Occupational Medicine" award. He also worked as a research fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry in Atlanta, Ga. Dr. Pathan also has conducted research studying sprain and strain injuries among different age groups of men and women in the workplace. Dr. Pathan is also FAA certified. (08/12)
