I believe in treating patients as a whole and not just as one diagnosis. Many things affect our physical being including age, medications, other medical conditions, mental health, socioeconomic status and ethnic backgrounds. Recognition and addressing the barriers to care is the key to providing complete and effective healthcare.
I specialize in treating all general infectious diseases including immunocompromised patients, patients with HIV/AIDS and patients undergoing liver and kidney transplantation. I am certified in wound care and hyperbaric treatment.
I earned my medical degree at Dow Medical College and University of Health Sciences, Karachi, Pakistan, and completed my residency at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, OH, and Evanston Hospital, Evanston, IL. I completed my fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood, IL, and am board certified in Infectious Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
In my free time I like painting, listening to music and reading. In the summer I enjoy gardening and traveling.
