I value listening to my patients so I may understand how best to help. My goal is to partner with my patients so that together we may identify individualized and accessible targets for change, so they can take personal responsibility to achieve their best health.
I earned my medical degree from Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine, East Lansing, Mich. My family practice residency was completed at Mercy Health Partners, Muskegon, Mich. I am board certified in family medicine and osteopathic manipulation.
I provide primary care in the areas of: well baby/child care, adolescent and adult health, geriatrics, women's health, family planning, wellness and prevention, osteopathic manipulative medicine, sports medicine, hypertension, asthma, diabetes, arthritis, cardiovascular disease, weight loss and management, nutrition, anxiety and depression, insomnia, menopause and hormone replacement therapy, and tobacco cessation.
I believe not only in controlling disease with appropriate treatments, but also in the impact of applying lifestyle interventions to achieve optimal health. I see nutrition, fitness and optimizing mental, spiritual and physical health as key components of a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
Married with three young children, outside of the clinic I enjoy yoga, sailing, piano, gardening, reading, scrapbooking, woodworking, traveling, hiking, biking and, most of all, being with my family.
