Nicole Cherek, MS, LPC, SAC, CS-IT, is a psychotherapist with years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults. She is a licensed professional counselor and a certified substance abuse counselor who treats patients ages 4 to 64. Her special areas of interest include adoption issues, anxiety, chemical dependency, depression, personality disorders, play therapy and trauma. Nicole has advanced level intensive training in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) for the treatment of borderline personality disorder. In addition to DBT, she incorporates other treatment approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention and solution-focused therapies.
