I am a Milwaukee native, board-certified general surgeon and a fellowship-trained breast oncology surgeon. My specialized surgical approach combines the principles of cancer surgery with the techniques of plastic surgery to achieve optimal oncologic and cosmetic results. I emphasize getting to know my patients. I ensure that each patient has a thorough understanding of their disease and treatment options while respecting individual priorities and easing concerns. I tailor a personalized, comprehensive, multi-disciplinary treatment plan to meet each patient's lifestyle and disease severity. I bring a repertoire of novel treatments paired with compassionate care to achieve the best possible oncologic and aesthetic outcomes.

I provide treatment for all diseases of the breast including benign, malignant and high-risk breast lesions as well as preventive options for patients without active breast disease who are high-risk or carry a genetic susceptibility to breast cancer. I am highly skilled in procedures performed including lumpectomy, partial mastectomy, oncoplastic breast reconstruction, skin sparing mastectomy, nipple sparing mastectomy, total mastectomy, hidden scar breast surgery, sentinel lymph node biopsy and axillary lymph node dissection, among others. I take a special interest in oncoplastic breast conservation, extreme oncoplasty and intraoperative radiation therapy for breast cancer.

I began my training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., where I completed my general surgery internship. I went on to complete my general surgery residency at Michigan State University in Lansing, where I was honored with acceptance into the esteemed Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and was recognized with the Richard E. Dean Research Award for my research endeavors in breast surgery. I then completed fellowship training in breast surgical oncology at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, and was named recipient of the distinguished Muzzy Family Endowed Fellowship in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery at Hoag Memorial Hospital.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, travel, cooking and yoga.
