"As an integrative healer and functional medicine practitioner, I believe the patient and I form a team, working together in partnership on the body, mind and spirit in order to achieve optimal health. I wish to help individuals consciously pursue the best life possible through achievement of balance in all areas of life including the physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual aspects of the human experience. I believe this convergence results in a dynamic state of being fully alive and present in each moment regardless of the presence or absence of disease states. This process creates true health."
I relish taking care of the entire family during all stages of life. Holistic healthcare creates a focus on patient-centered care as unique as each person's fingerprint. I strive to create a health plan for each individual that takes into account all aspects of their life and is the least invasive, least toxic and least costly while promoting true health and healing. All healing occurs at a personal level involving introspection, exploration and an experience of well-being and balance.
I look forward to being a part of your health journey today as we progress toward a robust tomorrow. On this path, I provide well family visits, acute visits (including lacerations), sick visits, dermatological procedures (mole removal, cancer resection, spot treatment for pre-cancerous lesions), tongue and lip tie release, Botox, joint injections, nail removal, osteopathic manipulations, and acupuncture.
I earned my medical degree from Des Moines University in Iowa and completed my residency in family medicine at Hinsdale Hospital; Hinsdale, Ill. Board certified in family medicine, I also completed fellowships in wound care and hyperbaric medicine and certifications in acupuncture, holistic nutrition and plant-based nutrition. Currently, I am pursuing a fellowship in integrative medicine and certification in functional medicine.
Outside of work, I love to travel around the world, SCUBA dive, sail and train for triathlons.
