Greenfield, Wis. – The Aurora Health Center 84South will open to patients on Monday, August 5. The five-story, 130,000-square foot facility features the collaborative care model, leading technology and innovative building design to increase access to healthcare services for the area.
The facility, 9000 W. Sura Lane, will serve as a central location for Aurora Children’s Health services, including newly expanded pediatric specialist offerings.
“With this center opening, Aurora Children’s Health will be able to offer more comprehensive pediatric services, and in one easy-to-access central location,” said Dr. Kevin Dahlman, medical director of Aurora Children’s Health. “Parents will be able to see a pediatrician and receive any needed specialty care in this wonderful new building.”
Aurora’s smallest patients will have access at Aurora Health Center 84South to specialists in pediatric cardiology, urology, allergy, dermatology, ENT, neuro psychology and radiology.
In addition to the Children’s Health offering, this facility will be home to Aurora Midwifery Services. Aurora Certified Nurse Midwives see women through all stages of life, not just during pregnancy. At 84South, they will provide a variety of women’s health services ranging from general health education such as advising on diet, exercise, and staying healthy, to providing family planning and obstetrical care. The Aurora midwives at 84South are linked to the Aurora Women’s Pavilion and have access to all the resources that facility has to offer.
Aurora Sports Health will also be part of the facility, the first Aurora Health Care outpatient surgery center in the Milwaukee area. A pediatric sports health gym, adult gym and classroom space will be available. The center brings increased availability for outpatient orthopedic surgery to Aurora’s patients.
The center will also follow the collaborative care approach offered at Aurora BayCare in Green Bay and at the recently opened Six Points clinic in West Allis, allowing patients to receive a badge upon check-in and head to a private room, largely avoiding public waiting rooms. Real-time location technology shows physicians and staff when patients arrive and where they are, allowing providers and staff to address patient needs quickly.

Collaborative care also increases communications between providers and the patient and offers better outcomes for patients.
Located in the 40-acre 84South mixed used development at the corner of South 84th Street and Layton Avenue in Greenfield, the center will offer extended and weekend hours, including outpatient stays up to 23 hours. The building is also home to eight surgical suites, two pain management procedure rooms, four GI suites and two outpatient interventional radiology suites, the first of their kind in Wisconsin.
