MILWAUKEE – For the second consecutive year, Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center has been named the top hospital in Southeastern Wisconsin by U.S. News & World Report in rankings released today. Aurora St. Luke’s was also ranked the No. 2 hospital in Wisconsin, and ranked in the national Top 50 in three specialty categories.
Two other Aurora Health Care facilities, Aurora Medical Center in Grafton and Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay also ranked in the top 10 in Wisconsin. The Aurora Medical Center in Grafton ranked No. 3 in Milwaukee and No. 4 in Wisconsin, and Aurora BayCare ranked No. 9 in Wisconsin.

Aurora St. Luke’s received national Top 50 honors for the following high-performing specialties – cardiology and heart surgery, geriatrics and gynecology. The hospital’s additional high-performing specialties included cancer, Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery, pulmonology, and urology.
Aurora Grafton ranked high performing in orthopedics for the second consecutive year, and several other Aurora Health Care facilities also receive high performance ratings for a variety of specialties, including Aurora West Allis Medical Center, named high performing in urology, Aurora Medical Center in Summit, named high performing for heart bypass surgery, and Aurora Medical Center – Sheboygan County, rated high performing hip replacements.
Now a part of Advocate Aurora Health, the 10th largest not-for-profit health care system in the U.S., the Aurora Health Care facilities named to the list join 10 Advocate Health Care facilities on the overall U.S. News Best Hospitals list. U.S. News & World Report separately named Advocate Children’s in June to the prestigious Best Children’s Hospitals national rankings, bringing the total number of recognized Advocate Aurora Health hospitals to 16 this year.

For the 2018-19 rankings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide in 25 specialties, procedures and conditions. In the 16 specialty areas, 158 hospitals were ranked in at least one specialty. In rankings by state and metro area, U.S. News recognized hospitals as high performing across multiple areas of care.
