"My personal belief is that a patient is best served by using an integrated approach that addresses the mind, body and spirit through the blended use of Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine."
I utilize evidence based treatment methods that include acupuncture, manual therapy, tuina and guasha, nutritional counseling, aromatherapy and mindfulness to meet my patients where they are and to help them navigate the path to where they would like to be. My goal is to provide compassionate care and to partner with my patients and to empower them to be proactive in their own health.
I graduated Suma Cum Laude from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine Racine campus in 2009 earning a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine. In addition to my education in Traditional Chinese Medicine, I also graduated from Blue Cliff College, Biloxi Mississippi campus in 2003 with a degree in Massage Therapy. I also have advanced training and hold advanced training and certifications such as: Clinical Certified Aroma Therapy Practitioner through Jayne Buckle and Associates, Constitutional Facial Acupuncture training through Mary Elizabeth Wakefield, Tai Chi & QiGong Certified Instructor, and I've also received training in Integrated Oncology.
My clinical focus includes the use of acupuncture for pain management. My extensive background in manual therapy allows me to see the body as an interconnected whole and to relieve pain by addressing imbalances in this network of muscles, tissues and meridians. I also have a passion for helping couples with infertility and specialize in the use of acupuncture while trying to conceive naturally and during IUI and IVF cycles.
I am very blessed to be married to my soul mate and we are raising our three beautiful children together. We enjoy spending time outdoors and exploring the world.
