Are you a second-year student from Des Moines University on your way to becoming a DO?
Osteopathic medical school will set the foundation for your entire medical career. Aurora Health Care provides a robust, year-long site for third-year Des Moines University osteopathic students. We provide rotations at 7 different sites: Burlington, Grafton, Kenosha, Oshkosh, Sheboygan, Summit and West Allis.
During the remainder of the year, you will attend exams, skills sessions, education sessions and presentations. Our goal is to provide an experience that prepares you for the next step in your career and to continue your journey with us.
Aurora has an established history with teaching hospitals and academic institutions. Our off-site hospitals and clinics proudly serve as clinical campuses for our core academic partners:
Aurora Health Care does not have a traditional application process for third-year students. Instead, application letters come from Des Moines University. This is a chance for you to write an autobiography about yourself and share a story about why you want to be at Aurora Health Care and become a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. This letter should highlight your family background, a personal experience or a life changing situation. Students are chosen from both Aurora and Des Moines University.
Clinician Student Services is dedicated to making sure that students gaining clinical experiences at Aurora are valued, supported and given every opportunity for success. We offer health and wellbeing services, help with housing and ways to get involved in the community.
