Application Process

Application deadline
The application deadline is January 31st, for acceptance into the program the following spring. We accept a maximum of seven students for our internship each year.

Who can apply
Interns are primarily selected from these affiliated colleges:

  • University of Wisconsin – La Crosse
  • St. Cloud State University
  • Luther College

Applicants from the affiliated colleges are preferred due to prior academic class work.

However, we do accept interns from non-affiliated colleges. Eligible applicants must have a Bachelor of Science in a related science (e.g., biology, chemistry, etc.) with a grade point average of 2.5 or better.

You will need to submit an application form and three letters of recommendation to Program Coordinator Kerry Michell at kerry.michell@aurora.org.

Interviews

Applicants are interviewed if all the program requirements are met. We conduct interviews through the end of February, and select interns for the program on or around March 31st.

You’ll be notified by mail and by email if you’re accepted to the program. You will need to confirm your acceptance.
