Water Birth at Aurora Sinai in Milwaukee

At Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee, we’re proud to offer water birth as a natural birthing option for low-risk pregnancies.

Water birth is ideal for women with uncomplicated pregnancies who are looking for a natural birth option. A water birth allows you to labor and deliver in a warm birthing tub, helping you stay calm, relaxed and more in control throughout the process.

Our experienced team of OB-GYNs, midwives and labor and delivery nurses are trained in supporting water births in a safe, comfortable hospital setting. Water immersion during labor can ease pain, reduce the need for interventions and create a more peaceful birthing experience.

Some benefits of a water birth include:

  • Natural pain relief and less need for medication
  • Greater mobility and comfort during labor
  • Reduced stress and anxiety
  • Shorter labor in some cases
  • Gentle transition for your baby from womb to the world
