During your first visit, your chiropractor will discuss your health history and symptoms. You’ll be physically examined and, if it’s appropriate, treatment can start that day. Typically, people receive treatments a number of times over the course of 2 weeks. Many patients find that their symptoms improve after only a few treatments.
Your customized treatment may include orthopedic or neurological evaluation and other diagnostic testing; spinal adjustments, manipulation or mobilization; advice on modifying your activities, exercising and stretching; or therapies such as ultrasound, light therapy or muscle stimulation.
Aurora chiropractors have access to the latest technology and diagnostic testing tools, including CT (computerized tomography) scans and MRI (magnetic resonance imaging). Our chiropractors work in the same clinics as doctors, rehabilitation specialists and other health care professionals to provide convenient, comprehensive care and the best possible outcomes. Your chiropractor will work with your primary care doctor and can refer you to another doctor or specialist if necessary.
