Our difference isn’t just our innovations, but our multidisciplinary teams working together to develop a comprehensive plan specifically designed just for you.
The Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) sets the standard for the high level of innovation and patient-centered neurological care offered throughout the Aurora system.
In the past, patients might have needed major surgery to treat a neurological disorder. Today, Aurora’s techniques and technology provide very different care – and the results are clear: smaller incisions and faster healing time.
At ANII, every patient is considered an active member of the care team. You can rely on us for outstanding, compassionate care paired with the most advanced treatment options available.
Our neuroscience institute features a multidisciplinary team of experts who are using advanced medical technology to deliver excellent patient outcomes. Our team is also committed to sharing their expertise with other neuroscience centers around the world.
At ANII, we’re focused on meaningful discovery. We push the limits of today’s neurosurgery procedures in order to advance the field of neuroscience and help our patients live healthier lives.
Using an interdisciplinary approach, Aurora’s specialists in endocrinology, otology, oral oncology, ophthalmology, neuro-ophthalmology, speech pathology and audiology offer the latest and most effective treatment options to patients with conditions of the head and neck.
Whether it’s a herniated disk, lumbar stenosis or a spinal fracture or tumor that’s causing your pain, our renowned surgeons will develop a comprehensive care plan to treat your pain and help you feel your best.
Problems with your nervous system can cause pain, numbness or muscle weakness. Aurora’s team of nerve experts will get to the root of your problem and develop a personalized plan for treatment.
Aurora has 11 Primary Stroke Centers, as well as a Comprehensive Stroke Center at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center. This means you can expect advanced diagnostic services and a multidisciplinary treatment team dedicated to timely, effective stroke treatment.
We use a variety of imaging tools to detect blood clots, tumors and other problems inside the brain, including 3T MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), 64-slice CT (computed tomography), PET/CT scans, cerebral angiography and neuropsychological exams.
Once we’ve identified the source of the problem, a multidisciplinary team of experts – neurosurgeons, neuro-oncologists and endocrinologists, as well as occupational and physical therapists – will work together to address the nuances of your condition.
Your team of specialists work with you to develop a comprehensive plan tailored to your specific needs. Throughout the treatment process, you can expect compassionate, respectful care.
At Aurora, we treat you as a member of the board when it comes to planning your treatment. We encourage your questions and your feedback, turning to you and your loved ones for input along the way.
We believe that the right follow-up care is an essential part of recovery. Your care team will make sure you have appointments with the appropriate doctors and specialists after your neurological treatment.
